Question : Every night the sides of my back hurt so bad I can barely move. What is this?

                                    Brief Answer:
Spine is the problem.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Usually such symptom appears due to spine disc herniation or other spine changes.
Depending of the spine area you may also have headaches, upper limbs weakness, pain or tingling (cervical spine), legs pain, lower back pain (lumbal and sacral spine).
I suggest you to consult orthopedist with this problem. To diagnose it, MRI is necessary.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

It seems to be more in the sides where my kidneys are. Would that be the same thing?

                                    Brief Answer:
This is not kidney pain.
Detailed Answer:
It would, if the pain were present during the day with frequent urinating, burning while urinating, lower abdominal pain. Otherwise, its not kidney pain. Moreover, kidney pain usually appears on one side. Or at least is more intense on one side.
