Question : I would like to know what this is? It only comes this time of year in the same spot. This is the second time, the first being last year around this time.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this pustular lesion. It suggestive of an infection of the skin tissue by a germ called staphylococcus. This being a single pustular lesion, there is really not much reason to be worried. I will rather suggest that you simply cleanse daily with an antiseptic and allow it to burst open spontaneously for drainage and healing. Unless something else comes up, there is no need for antibiotics by mouth. I can't tell what goes on with your around this time to cause this but pricks especially in the woods/forest can easily favor this.
