Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough, Cold, Shoulder Pain And Left Knee Pain

default
Posted on Mon, 13 Jul 2015
Question: I had a bad cold recently which I got over but have had a persistent cough since. A couple of weeks ago I developed a bad pain in the left knee and slightly in the right knee. I went to the doctor about this and was told I had fluid in both knees, more inflammation in the right. Will be having xray for this. Since then I developed sharp pain between my shoulder blades when I coughed. In the last week it has only been near my right shoulder blade, like a dull ache always there, and I experience a popping sound sometimes when breathing like there is fluid in my lungs.

Could be pneumonia.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
Could be pneumonia. You need a chest x ray for confirmation.
I recommend the following.
A course of antibiotics.
Continue analgesic like tablet paracetamol if there is pain
An expectorant cough syrup
Nebulization
Avoid smoking even passive smoking.
For knee pain you need x ray and orthopedic opinion.
You will be fine.
