Question : Hi, I am a 30 year old male residing in New XXXXXXX XXXXXXX I have complaints of cough which has persisted for about 15 days accompanied by medium to thick phlegm. I also have pain swallowing. Took cetrizine medicine but it hasn't helped.
Pls advise on the cure

I can understand your concern.
You are having chronic cough. You are also having expectoration. This suggest lung infection.
So better to first get done chest x ray to rule out lung infection.
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for lung infection.
You need broad spectrum antibiotic like levofloxacin or azithromycin.
Also take anti inflammatory drugs.. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid hard to chew food..
