Suggest Treatment For Persistent Diarrhea
Question: I've had major diarrhea for about 18 days & i think it's getting worse....i brought into the lab 5 vials of stool specimens but it sounds like it take several days for results /w holiday & weekend coming, I feel that's a long time to wait...
I don't know how to choose a file.....also i'm feeling more " crummy" the last couple of days.....washed-out

I am sorry for the situation you are in.
Now, as you are having diarrhea for the last 18 days, it should be determined the cause. I am happy to know that you have sent stool samples to get examined in the lab. As it is Holidays and it will take some time to get the results (although I think your case should be considered as emergency and results should be given in time despite the holidays), I advise as following:
- drink plenty of water
- take tasectan/pepto bismol and probiotics to stop diarrhea
- have light meals (yogurt, toast, apple sauce, rice)
If your symptoms will get worse during the holidays, should go to ER and get immediate tests there.

I feel weaker & as of last nite some stool to me, looks more like coffee grounds in the toilet...it doesn' t disolve in the water in the toilet....I"m slow at typing so it's not easy to communicate....I'd prefer talking to typing....

I highly advise to drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated.
The difficult - to - dissolve feces are due to frequent bowel passage that won't let food to digest properly.
