Brief Answer:
Further investigations are needed to document precise therapy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I understand your concern.

You seem to have antibiotic-resistant diarrhoea.Empirical antibiotics should not be tried blindly now.

In order to prescribe the right antibiotic in your case, you need to undergo Complete stool analysis with Stool culture and sensitivity testing. This will help to know the infectious organism and its drug susceptibility.

The possibility of parasitic infestation is also high in your case.Hence stool testing is needed.

Also, I advise you to have an ultrasound abdomen for further assessment of your intestines.

Further management is based on the test results.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Omefine is effective against acidity but not diarrhea.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.gestion

I understand your concern.

This is the right treatment against acidity and dyspepsia(sense of bloating and indigestion) induced by Flagyl.

But these drugs are NOT effective against watery diarrhoea.

You need stool examination and ultrasound for specific treatment against diarrhoea.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

I HAVE BEEN ON A FRUIT AND LIGHT CEREAL DIET SINCE LAST 36 HOURS, AND DIDNT HAD A SINGLE LOOSE STOOL SINCE LAST 36 HOURS. SO CAN I SAY THAT THE INFECTION HAS ENDED?????. I HAVE BEEN TAKING OMEFINE-20 (OMEPARAZOLE CAPSULES 20 mg twice daily) and 03 x spoons of Digene before meals(twice daily) AND I AM FEELING FINE WITH OCCASIONAL GASPASSES. HOW LONG SHOULD I CONTINUE TO BE ON FRUIT AND LIGHT CEREALS DIET AND THE ABOVE MENTIONED MEDICATION???
WHAT SHOULD BE THE NEXT COURSE OF ACTION ???
DO I NEED TO TAKE SOMETHING ELSE AS ADDITIONAL MEDICATION AND FOR HOW LONG ????

CAN TOO MUCH OF ANTIBIOTCS BE CAUSE OF DIARRHOEA AS I TOLD YOU THAT I HAD 7 DAYS OF ANTIBIOTCS, I HAD TAKEN
((Ofloxacin     200 mg & Ornidazole 500 mg) TABLETS TWICE DAILY FOR 3 DAYS and subsequently FLAGYL 400 (thrice daily) for next 4 days) WITH NO RELIEF???

WHAT IS YOUR ANALYSIS OF THE CASE THAT I GOT RELIEF FROM OMEPARAZOL AND DIGENE(ANTACID ANTIFLATULENT) BUT NOT FROM ANTIBIOTICCS?????

Brief Answer:
Additional drugs not required.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I understand your concern.

I apologise for the delayed response owing to my hectic work schedule.

In case, the loose stool has resolved with diet and drugs, you may not need additional antibiotics and investigations.

In many cases, mild infectious diarrhoea spontaneously gets corrected with intrinsic body defence mechanisms.

Digene might have probably aided in digestion.

Continue the light cereal diet for another 1 week.

Do not need additional medications at this point of time.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
