Question : My wife has developed a very dry cough,very limitled flem.we are currently experiencing very high dry temperatures....she has spent a lot of time in our garden but mainly in the shade
.the local doctor a standard cough mixture,a puffer,and steroids but the cough remains....any suggestions?

Welcome and thanks for your query.
The doctor has made a diagnosis of asthma as the treatment indicates.
Was any blood test or xray done to detect any infection?
If there is any bacterial infection, she would require an antibiotic. Steroids without antibiotic in an infection can make it worse.
So it would be good to have the tests done, if not done already. If done, please upload the results and I shall give my opinion on them
