Brief Answer:
This is narcolepsy and he needs stimulants!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this uncontrollable and excessive sleeping that your son has. This fits the description of narcolepsy and needs to be handled with stimulants, same stimulants used to treat ADHD. I will suggest that he takes this longterm and there should be no rush in stopping them for any reasons. This will be of great help to him. Also, he should program multiple short naps during the day so as to be able to maintain some focus. Finally, what exact erection problem is he having: inability to get erection or inability to maintain erections for long?

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Thank you for your response. His difficulty is in getting a full erection. This has only been happening the past week

How does my son go about getting diagnosed for narcolepsy? Does he see a general practitioner or a sleep doctor?

Brief Answer:
A week is too short for this diagnosis. Let’s monitor

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I will suggest he sees a sleep doctor for the narcolepsy. As concerns the erections, it is mire psychological than a real disease condition. I will suggest that we monitor only at this time.

Keep me posted on this.
