Brief Answer:
The tonsils need to be checked.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Most often fever with cough and cold in children is caused due to infection with certain viruses. If the child is getting frequent episodes, the first thing to check is whether the tonsils are enlarged. Tonsils are lymphoid organs at the back of our throat. These have a role to play in immunity. If the tonsils are inflamed or enlarged and if the frequency of such infections are very frequent, you might need to get the tonsils excised. Please visit an ENT specialist and get the child assessed.

Hope that helps.
