Question : I have had the flu for over two weeks and I had begun to feel a bit better but now there is clear fluid running from my nose like water... I took Cold FX last night and the fluid began sjhortly after. I have diabetes and CLL. Ignore it?

I see in your history that you had a brain surgery through your nose a year ago. This is typically the case for pituitary surgeries. The pituitary gland is located inside the skull.

There is a well known complication of this type of surgery called CSF Rhinorrhea. In simple language it refers to a leak of a special type of fluid from the brain called CSF through the nose.

It is important to make sure this is not the case with you.
