Question : My father has been facing the persistant headache and cold related issue since past 10 years. Almost everyday he gets headache and cold. He sneezes a lot, sometimes continuously for an hour. He had also got some internal nasal surgery to remove some flesh that causes the nasal blockage but problem is still there. He rarely takes any cold drink, he regularly goes for morning walk, does yoga and exercise. He has consulted doctors but only to get some nasal spray or temporary relief tablets. I want to know what should he do to get some relief from headache and cold/sneezing.

                                    Brief Answer:
He will require further evaluation.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. It will be better to review previous tests and any Sinus CT Scan/s.
2. Surgery does not cure allergy. If he has received treatment in the past, is he better while on medication?
3. There are now standardized allergy tests available. He can test for allergy.
4. If his scans are normal, his headache may have other causes.
5. A fresh scan after a nasal examination and endoscopy will be required.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
