Ct scan report is necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

It is necessary to provide the CT scan report before to give you a correct answer to your question.

It could be recurrent hematoma, infection of the adjacent to craniotomy bone, etc.

If it is an infection, would there be other symptoms? fever? he has none..his only symptoms is headache...on a scale from 1-10 (10 being severe; he is at a 6) and some swelling around 3 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. We are praying that it is not a recurring hemotoma as surgery for him is risky..

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

Of course that infection may be suspected if other signs such fever are present, but not always.

Pain is more indicative for recurring hematoma, however, CT scan will give the needed information about the correct diagnosis.

Hope I helped you.

Take care.
