Question : I got out of bed and blew my nose and blood came out. This never happened to me before. Is it something to worry about? Please advise.

If you have any history of allergies (nasal congestion, runny nose, post nasal drip, sneezing, persistent coughing) or a recent cough/cold then there is no need to worry.
These conditions (allergies and cough/cold) cause inflammation/irritation of the airways which can cause bleeding.
When the cough/cold or allergies are treated then the bleeding would stop.
Treatment of cough/colds and allergies are somewhat similar and would involve the use of anti histamines and decongestants.
If you do have allergies then you would need to determine what causes your allergic reaction.
If you do not have a history of allergies or there is no recent cough/cold then you should be assessed.
If you have a history of smoking , then you should also be assessed.
This would be done by an ENT specialist and may involve a scope of the airway if the bleeding repeats.
