Question : I have pain in my fingers on both hands as well as pain on both my knees for several months. I do have psoriasis. The pain is mostly constants tolerable.

i read your question and i understand your concern. pain in small joints and knees for a few months at the age of 53 with psoriasis is likely a psoriatic arthritis. It is also likely an age related joint pain called osteoarthritis.

Ibuprofen which you are about to try may give slight relief but some times its not enough alone and needs other immunosuppressants, DMARDs or TNF inhibitors. Steroid injections and joint replacement surgeries are reserved for worse and severe conditions. Talk to your rheumatologist and let them sort it out for you.
