Question : Hi doctor,
My doctor has told me that I have coccydynia pain. As I am having pain while sitting and sleeping on my buttock tail bone. He gave me 5 days pain medicine that I took and also suggested me to buy donut cushion but even then pain is not going completely.

Please suggest some quick and helpful remedies. Which I can perform at home.

Brief Answer:
Local steroid injection will help. Do hot compress/ sitz bath.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
For persistent pain of coccydynia in addition to pain killers you can get oral muscle relaxants prescribed. Doing a hot compress will help. You can also get local cortisone injection from your surgeon and surgery can be considered in case the pain is persistent.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
