Suggest Treatment For Persistent Sinus Infection

Question: I am 59 years old, 270lbs but according to the doctors in very good health.

I walk 5mi daily, I used to swim and workout at the gym, but it didn't effect my weight, so I quit.

My issue is, I have a constant draining from what I thought was a sinus infection. I've had this for about 20 years. But doctors tell me my sinus cavity is clear.

The drainage goes down my throat and my ears are constantly plugged up. Although lately they've been discharging wax.

I eat relatively healthy. No sodas, coffee, mostly drink 1gal of water a day.

The only thing I've found that helps some, is taking two caps of cayenne pepper.

I believe this constant drainage is one of the causes of my being overweight. The discharge is going into my digestive system and clogging up the works.

I have regular bowel movements, 3-4 day. My heart is good, my recent PSA was great, no diabetes, no high blood pressure, no thyroid problems, no prostate problems, no diabetes, etc...

Except for the drainage, and being overweight, according to the doctors I'm in great health. lol

I would consider good health being my normal weight and no drainage.

Now, I also seem to be getting more urinary tract infections. They started a few years ago, with one every once in awhile. Now they're up to one ever 3-4 months.

Doctors are at a loss. So I'm desperate and reaching out for someone else who may have at least be able to point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Brief Answer:
Post nasal drip

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic and thanks for putting up the query
Post nasal drip is most commonly due to deviation in nasal septum even if there is sinusitis or not. My advice is you should get a x-ray paranasal sinuses done and send me the pictures.
Start taking tablet levocetrizine plus montelukast combination once daily and use a nasal spray twice daily for a week. You will definitely be benefited.
All the medicines I have prescribed will be available at prescription only.
Urinary tract infection and weight gain are not caused by a post nasal drip. You should get a urine Microscopy done and thyroid function test done as inability to lose weight might be caused by a deranged thyroid function.
Any further questions are always welcome.
Wish you get well soon.
Thanks and regards
