Brief Answer:
Be calm and relaxed. This is not unexpected and will resolve spontaneously.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this sore throat that your wife got. This small amounts of blood in cough/sputum is not unusual following a sore throat. This is because the inflammation makes the throat fragile and more likely to bleed following the least cough effort. This will subside spontaneously. I suggest that she coughs gently and avoid explosive efforts which are more likely to cause this blood stains in blood.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
