Question : I've been on Cefdinir since Tuesday for a sore throat and I don't think its working

Hi Mam,
I have gone through your query; suggest you that better to go for the throat swab culture and antibiotic sensitivity and antibiotic according to its report.

I also suggest you that better to avoid ibuprofen if you don't have pain and instead you may use analgesic antiseptic mouth wash.

You may also add vitamin C 500 mg three times a day.

I have sinus infection but I might need a stronger antibiotic

I have gone through your follow up query; and if you have sinus infection then there is also need of nasal and systemic nasal decongestant with nasal wash with Netiwash.

For specific antibiotic - go for throat swab and culture sensitivity as mentioned in above answer. Discuss about this with your doctor.
