Suggest Treatment For Persistent Sore Throat

Question: Hello Doctor,

I am having throat pain since past 5 days. There are no symptom of cold or cough.
Specifically night time i feel heavy pain and i am taking bruffen tablet since past 3 days for that. Along with that I took the below tablets which i mentioned. I have a history of acidity problem and night time used to have disturbance in my throat like something sturcking, but, i do not have any such kind of problems now since 3 to 4 months.

I do not have any symptom like fever, cold or cough and i do not smoke as well.

Could you please advise if there is any medication or test i need to.

From the complaints it seems to be a gastric acid reflux disease.
Please tell me do you have any history of regurgitation or burning sensation in the throat?
Any history of constipation?
It would be better if you can send me the picture of your throat so that I can suggest you better and prescribe you accordingly.

Hello Doctor,

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Now, i am at office not in a position to take the snap of my throat. I am sorry for that, but yesterday night i checked and it looks red color inside the throat.

But, i never used to have any burning sensation in the throat not constipation kind. Just every night i feel that stomach acid flow back to the throat kind, but never used to have any kind of pain.

This is the first time without cold i am getting this problem.

All the symptoms mentioned by you are suggestive of gastric acid reflux disease.
Take an antacid like pantoprazole once daily for a week.
Avoid any spicy food and aerated drinks.
Avoid any smoking or tobacco use.
Drink plenty of water.
Avoid a sedentary lifestyle.
All the medicines I have prescribed will be available only on prescription.
