Suggest Treatment For Persistent Stomach Pain

Question: Hi, I have stomach pain for about 3 weeks that is getting worse. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy 3 days ago but everything looked normal. It is in the abdomen but moves from the left side and right side under the ribs, the back and the thighs but predominantly in the lower abdomen. I also only have a few mouthfuls of food and feel full. Today I was feeling nauseous and starting to get headaches. I had a hysterectomy in 2011 but they left the ovaries. The only thing that is alleviating the pain is paracetamol and codeine and hot water bottle but that only takes the edge off. I am at my wits end.

Brief Answer:
Inflammatory pathology going on in abdomen

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/45 - pain in abdomen getting worse over 3 weeks - normal colonoscopy and Endoscopy 13/04/17 - moves from left and right side under the ribs - to the back and thighs - but predominantly in lower abdomen - feel full on a few mouthful of food - nausea and headache today - Uterus alone removed in 2011 - paracetamol and codeine alleviating pain - but takes away only the edge - hurts to walk too fast - nearly went to A&E lat night due to pain ...
Pain in abdomen increasing on walking indicate that there may be a site of inflammation in the abdomen that can not be caught on colonoscopy or endoscopy.
The commonest causes can be any of the following:
Appendicitis
Colitis particularly diverticulitis.
Inflamed lymph node mass.
Ovarian cyst and so on.
Kidney related problem.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
CT scan of the abdomen is the best mode to get a proper diagnosis in addition to the proper clinical evaluation and an actual examination by a Doctor, preferably a General Surgeon.
Three weeks is a long to suffer from pain in abdomen that increases on walking.

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
