Question : Hello. I think I have a stomach virus. I say this because I have been vomitting all day and I cannot keep anything down. I have been drinking gatorade and eating crackers. I am able to keep the gatorade down if I sip a little at a time, but I cannot keep down the crackers. I also have taken pepto bismol, but I am not able to keel that down either. I am having stomach cramps and now my head is aching. I an wondering is there anything else that I shoukd be doing? Should I go to urgent care to get an IV in?

I am sorry to hear that you have been having a difficult time with vomiting. You have tried everything you can possibly try at home. I would recommend that you be seen at an urgent care because you could be becoming dehydrated. They can give you IV fluids and medications to help stop the nausea and vomiting.

1. Viral enteritis please be seen at urgent care
2. Dehydration needing IV fluids
3. Nausea/ vomiting medicine
