Question : I have had diahreah for 4/5 days straight, it's watery and frequent. During the night I get up about every thirty minutes to an hour. It began at about 1am several days ago after dinning out. That night we dined out at approx 8pm.

Going by the history, it appears to be infective diarrhea, due to some virus or bacteria in the food. Should have subsided or reduced in amount or frequency in 5 days. As it is persisting, further evaluation and treatment required. Imodium is not recommended in this scenario.

You should get yourself checked by a physician, especially to look for any dehydration.Then stool examination to look for any infectious cause and possibly some antibiotics. Make sure you take lots of oral rehydration solutions to ensure that you are not low on fluids.
