Question: I have been diagnosed with Phimosis. I am married. I am staying away from family since a year. Will sex deprivation aggravates narrowing of foreskin? I feel foreskin opening is less compared to how it was 8 months back. Is this possible? Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Consultation is advised.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to the forum.

It is hard to say if sex deprivation aggravates narrowing of the foreskin.

Having diagnosed to have phimosis, it is better to consult a general surgeon or urologist to find out the right treatment and whether circumcision is a must.

There is a risk of para-phimosis if intercourse is done on a tight foreskin.

Kindly get treated asap so that once you are with your family, you can have safe sex without the fear of para-phimosis.

Hope this helps,
Sincerely,

Thank you doctor. Coming to Circumcision, if i get circumcised:
1. In general how many days bed rest is required? After that can i go for work? I am from IT background doesn't involve field activities.
2. How many days it takes to heal to some extent? And i heard for 4 to 6 weeks i cant indulge in sexual activity.
3. Now my priority is planning for baby. if i get circumcised and it gets cured completely say after 2 months then can i have normal intercourse and achieve baby? Circumcision will not effect fertility right? My worry is before getting a baby nothing wrong should happen. I understand that there is no alternative other than Circumcision for my case to get baby by natural process.
Please advise.
