Brief Answer:
I would like to consider a possibility of herpes zoster
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the Image. I can see that there are red areas and probably some oozing from the area of involvement in scalp.
After reviewing the Images I would keep a possibility of herpes zoster affecting C 3 Dermatome.
I don't think this is related to a hair cut, though the onset is coincidental.
Zoster usually presents with redness and grouped, discrete, fluid filled lesions which are usually distributed along a dermatome. Herpes zoster is unilateral. There is associated pain in zoster which may be sharp/ shooting pain. Zoster is due to reactivation of varicella zoster virus (VZV) that usually resides in nerve gangion.
I would like to know more details about the nature of pain? Is it a sharp Or shooting type of pain?
Does it affect the other side of your scalp/ neck as well or is it unilateral?
Treatment of zoster would be with Oral antivirals like acyclovir Or valacyclovir for a week.
I encourage you to visit a doctor in your vicinity for a confirmatory diagnosis as well as for the needful.
Regards
