Brief Answer:
Bipolar Cautery under local anesthesia is a simple procedure.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for writing back.

1. Please get the bleeding lump cauterized with a bipolar cautery. This is a very simple procedure that can be done under local anesthesia.

2. At the same time, just before the cautery procedure, a small biopsy will help remove the tiny lump as well as get a biopsy.

3. The tongue examination is now necessary as bleeding for over an hour without stopping is not common. The tongue has a very rich blood supply, hence the amount of bleeding is not a cause for concern.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
