Brief Answer:
Treatment of acne

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic

Mometasone is a topical steroids and topical steroids are not recommended for treatment of acne.
Topical steroids can reduce the inflammation, redness and swelling of pimple. However, in some people topical steroids can actually worsen acne. Even if you decide to use it on the pimple, please do not use the steroids for more than 2-3 days.Long term use can badly damage your skin and worsen acne.
The better and recommended treatment option for acne is topical benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, sulfur etc. You can find products containing these ingredients over the counter as gels, lotion, face wash etc. Use gentle soap, warm water to wash your face. If acne seems to be worsening follow up with a dermatologist. You might need treatment with oral antibiotics, Isotretinoin for effective control of acne.
