Brief Answer:
symptoms are unlikely due to Pinworm infestation

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

I have gone through the detail and do understand your concern.
Pinworm infestation is a very common problem in pediatric age group and even adults can have infestation of Pinworm.
Perianal itching is the main complaint.
Diarrhea, fatigue, vomiting and easy bruising is highly unlikely in Pinworm infestation. These symptoms are more suggestive of some viral infection. Also ocular manifestation are more common with other worms and is rare with Pinworm.White ridge like lesion in eye can be pterygium.
I suggest you to give antihelminthic (deworming agent)to your wife and son.
Also get your wife evaluated by a physician for clinical evaluation and to find out the exact cause of present symptoms.I would also suggest you to get an ophthamologic consultation for eye lesion.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more doubts.
Regards

Hi there,
It may appear we have more than one issue.I am the wife, XXXXXXX and my husband got my symptoms a bit confused. For months now I have been very itchy with small bites mainly on my back. I was sure we had bed bugs. For about the past 8 months we have been living in an apartment that has termites, spiders, ticks, rodents and a pet hamster to top it off.Our base boards lifted from the ground and bugs unimaginable have infested our home. About 2 weeks ago my son (3),who we do know has pin worm also shows symptoms such as lots of crying, and flu like symptoms. He's complaining about his feet hurting. Last week he would wake up screaming his mouth hurt in the middle of the night he is a thumb sucker, he had a horrible rash, he was nauseated, very thirsty, complaining his hands hurting ( he has a little swelling and tiny pinhead bite with what looks like a red line or path), elbows and other areas of his body hurt. I became very worried. I too started to feel sick, it started with a migraine, In the meantime, my itching mostly on my back started to spread. my stomach , it ached and felt sore and lt has pinhead blood spots. only once did that cause pain, but it felt like a sting with a pinhead blood spot the sting the pain spread about 2 inches it was unbearable I also had Two large bites on my ankle and like the little one, joint pin, stiff neck , mid -back pain sore and very achey, we are week and continue to have small bites. We both have little painful bumps on hands and I have itchy burning sensation on upper thighs. Today I couldn't eat, very bad diarrhea, s, so weak, bruised and very irritable. The baby all the same and fever and pin worm

Brief Answer:
Most likely any insect bite causing local and generalised reaction

Detailed Answer:
I have gone through the details and to me it appears that all these manifestations are due to some insect bite. The symptoms are common in two members of same family with waxing and waning course indicating that it is due to insect bite. That may be bed bug.
The insect bite can cause both local like rashes, itching and systemic reaction like fever, pain abdomen, diarrhea and headache.
The most important step of management is to avoid the contact with that particular insect. The next thing in management is using anti allergic and steroid to get relieved from the symptoms.Take plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration due to diarrhea.
You may go the pest controller to get your space fumigated.Consult a physician for proper evaluation(skin lesions are better diagnosed by direct examination) and prescription of medications.

Wishing you and your family good health.
Regards
