Question: I went to pick up my tabletop plastic telephone and the phone fell off the counter and the receiver swung off the counter and hit the top of my back by my right shoulder blade. It was a pink color but now the mark is gone off my back. I have no pain but I used Biofreeze on it. The phone is light white plastic and I can move and bend my arm back. Can this incident hurt my back?

Brief Answer:
hi

Detailed Answer:
Not likely since this is minor injury and serious consequences almost never happen unless you have some severe osteoporosis. It probably caused muscle contusion and hematoma and swelling may occur and last for several days, but bone, tendon or nerve injury is not possible. Just rest, avoid weight lifting, take nonsteroid painkillers and apply cold compresses on it. Wish you good health. Regards
