Question: I am 43 yrs old male other wise healthy . I was admitted to a hospital for two days last year in the month of august for pneumonia. I had hemoptysis for a day . CT scan and CXR both showed a patch . The patch got resolved in a few days time . I was followed up by the pulmonologist for three months . After which he again did a HRCT which came back normal . However i am very stressed out due to that episode and wonder whether i need to do something more ? I have been visiting a pulmonologist every month and he has never noticed any abnormality in his check up . But i am feeling traumatized by constant stress please advise.

Brief Answer:
No need to worry at all.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your concern. I have gone through the image you have attached.
Pneumonia is lung infection.
And it is curable with antibiotics.
Your x ray is normal, so at present you are not having any lung disease like pneumonia.
So no need to worry for pneumonia at present.
Better to be stress free.
Please let me know
1. Do you have shortness of breath or breathing difficulty?
2. Do you have fever?

Brief Answer:
Counselling is must in your case.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
Counselling is must in any psychiatric treatment.
Actually counselling is integral part in any psychiatric treatment.
So in my opinion, you should consult good psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions.
Try to identify stressor in your life.
Sometimes counselling alone can cure the illness.
You may need supportive drugs along with counselling.
So consult good psychiatrist and discuss all these.
You are not having any organic lung disease.
