Brief Answer:
Yes this may be associated .

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
I can understand your concern .
Based on the information you have provided , I would like to inform you that yes pneumonia may be associated with pain in your hips and leg, redness of your eye and headache.
I would like to inform you that pneumonia can be caused by various viruses also. In fact most of viral illnesses present like this. They may cause fever, cough , headache, joint pain , redness of eyes, loss of appetite , extreme fatigue and weakness .
As you have mentioned dear you are taking clarithromicin , please continue with that .Along with this I would like to suggest you that you should also take pain killers on sos basis. Most of the time viral illnesses are self resolving , we need only symptomatic treatment . It may take about 1 week to resolve completely . So there is no need to worry right now just take pain killers along with clarithromicin.Rest and adequate hydration are equally important .
Hope this will help you .
If you have any other concerns please feel free to message me . Thanks for contacting HCM

Brief Answer:
Physician consultation is required.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

I can understand your concern and I am very sorry for your problems.

I would like to inform you that some time after the acute infection subsides, cough may persist for a month. But this cough is most of time dry and not associated with fever or any other problems.

Or this may be because of some other lung infection as well. To confirm the diagnosis, it is very important to consult your physician as complete examination and few tests are needed to confirm the diagnosis. These tests may include sputum examination and x ray chest.

As you have very annoying and severe cough you must discuss this with your physician.
In the mean time you can continue with your cough syrup for symptomatic relief.

Hope this will help you. If you have any other concerns please feel free to message me. Thanks for contacting HCM.
