Suggest Treatment For Poison Oak Rash On Neck, face And Waist

default
Posted on Mon, 18 May 2015
Question: I got poison oak on my arm between my wrist and elbow, it is drying up but now I have a rash on my neck, facial check, chin and upper lip and just developed a line of the rash at waist level. I went to urgent care yesterday, the doctor told me my body is over producing histamines and to take Zyrtec and Zantax to counter the histamines. Problem is this seems to be getting worse. Wonder if I need to give this more time to work?

Brief Answer:
Allergic response takes some time to settle

Detailed Answer:
hello
thank you For contacting HCM

I've gone through your query and would tryvto help younin best possible way. allergic response usually takes 5-7 days to improve. in some individuals it may prolong while in other it gets better in 1-2 days. all thisnis because every body is unique and responds differently. itching should resolve with zyretrc. rash would gradually disappear. you might require a topical steroid ointment for it. if condition remains same after few days then visit hospital and get an aointment for a Consultant Dermatologist for further workup.

hope i have answered your query. if you have any followup query then feel free to ask. if none then dont forget to close the discussion and rate it.
wishing you good health.
