Question : My left hearing in my ear is not good. My hearing sounds like I am under water and it keeps popping like I am taking off in an airplane. It has been this way since I attended a concert that was too loud and resorted to putting tissue in the ear canal.

Thank you for your query.

1. First get your ears examined to rule out any tissue left behind in the ear canal. At the same time the ear drum can be examined to rule out any fluid build up behind the ear drum or any damage to the ear drum.

2. Then a Pure Tone Audiogram will help check for any hearing loss.

3. Usually after such noise exposure, there is a Temporary Threshold Shift (TTS) in hearing for 48-72 hours before it recovers.

4. If this persists, the it is likely to be an NIHL ( Noise Induced Hearing Loss).

5. Upload the PTA report for further treatment options.
