Question: As a youth about 8 years old I caught my pee hole with my zipper on my jeans. My father at the time, pulled it off. I am 30+plus now...my pee hole doesnt hurt but its about 1/2 inch and the lower part (both sides) is always red like trauma/almost scar like to that part of the body (i.e. penis). I have never fixed it...is there anything to fix...cant stich a penis hole I think...... Ive put scar reduction cream on the penis hole and it has become much lighter red (its a scar) but the pee hole still huge....should I care about this.....it is my penis afterall but of course something happened to it long ago. Half my pee hole is the pee hole...the other half is closed with red around it....but opens to pee and stuff....its a 1/2 pee hole altogether. my email is YYYY@YYYY . thanks.. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Repair of long meatus possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
It is difficult to say whether the trauma 8 years back is responsible for a long urethral slit or the long slit is congenital (something occurring from birth).

However, absence of any other symptom rules out any other disease like infection, inflammation, malignancy etc.

A scar reduction cream may reduce scarring or redness, however, its role in reducing the length of the urethral opening is doubtful.

I suggest you to consult a surgeon (preferably an urologist) for clinical assessment of the urethral slit.
In case the slit is large, it can be closed/ brought back to normal size by surgery.
Don't worry, the surgical procedure for reduction of slit is a simple office procedure done under local anaesthesia.

If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.
