Fasting value between 110 and 126 mg /dl is prediabetes. So you are not diabetic but just a step away. So you do not need medicines, you need to take some precautions to prevent diabetes.

Start following TLC ie therapeutic lifestyle changes. Regular exercise. And strict dietary plan. Recheck fasting and post meal sugars and even hba1c after 6 weeks and let me know.

Dear XXXXXXX hi! glycomet is the drug of choice as first line management but if you can follow dietary advise and regular exercise, you can wait to start the treatment for 6 weeks. if you know yourself that you will not exercise, and will not be able to follow a strict diet regimen, in that case definitely start the treatment. regards!
