Brief Answer:
Non medical treatment should be tried before using drugs..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I went through your post and understood your concerns.

At the outset, surgical procedure done year ago has little or no relevance. It is unlikely to be the cause of premature ejaculation. How was your sexual experience before surgery?

Now, there are some medical drugs belonging to the group of SSRI's which are used with wide success rates in the treatment of premature ejaculation. You might consider those as an option. However many men reported reduction in sensual experience following its use. Therefore before you opt this as the treatment, you should consider other non medical treatments. They include:

1. Masters and Johnsons technique - Start and stop method where you stop intercourse and squeeze the base of penis before ejaculation. You can continue and repeat the cycle once you are comfortable.
2. Use a condom - some condoms are smeared with special lubricants which are known to delay ejaculation. They help in prolonging sexual experience. You might try those.
3. Try woman on top position instead. Many men were able to control premature ejaculation in this position.
4. Products such as delay cream are available over the counter. It can be used as lubricants to delay ejaculation. You can check with your pharmacist.
5. Lastly you can try a second intercourse after you climaxed prematurely. Second one performed after short period of time is known to last much longer than the first. This will be a very useful method if you are able to achieve erection within short period of time say 10 - 30 minutes after the first intercourse.

Besides those options, you can also learn about Keegel's exercises. This exercise strengthens pelvic floor muscles and the splincters which delay ejaculation.

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you need clarification.
