Question : I sometimes feel a pressure in the upper left part of my arm like a squeezing. sometimes it happens in the right. it comes and go, but it's done it several times today. I do have high blood pressure sometimes it shows 170/100, but I feel fine. my oxygen levels are lower than normal 89% and they used to be higher even at altitude. I live at 8000 feet. I don't know if it's poor circulation. I do get winded going up stairs - moreso than i probably should, but I've gained weight recently. 45 lbs overweight. I had a full blood panel done a few weeks ago - things were fairly normal - nothing drastically high. the pain in my arm scares me - I don't have health insurance so can't go running to doctor. what else could it be besides heart. I don't have any chest pains whatsoever and am not under stress.
Brief Answer:
You must Get ECG and stress test.
Detailed Answer:
hello,
I am Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD.
I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM.
your intermittent squeezing pain may be related to heart ,you must get your ECG done and if ECG is normal you should get your exercise stress test done. oxygen saturation below 90% is not normal at all.
If stress test is normal you may check for any other problem in your neck like cervical spondylosis causing pressure on nerve roots and producing symptoms.
you mentioned that your blood reports are normal, but still i would like to review them.your BP is high and you must start ACE inhibotor group of medicine.
please inform me above details
My best wishes
