default
Posted on Fri, 28 Aug 2015
Question: Hi. I've been having pressure on my chest (where you would do chest compressions), belching a lot more than usual and slight nausea. I just noticed some black sand-like particles in my urine. What is wrong?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns

After reviewing your data and symptoms I would like to say:

1 - Chest pain, belching and nausea seems to be related to GERD ( acid reflux disease ). If I was your treating doctor I would recommend to do the following examinations to find out what is causing your symptoms:
- blood work
- ecg
- chest x ray
- abdominal ultrasound
- upper endoscopy

2 - The black sand like on your urine may be a sign of blood on your urine which is a common side effect of Pepcid AC. However in order to confirm the diagnosis you should do an urinalysis.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!

Hi Dr. Shehu,

Thank you for your reply.

The pressure on my chest seem to be better, but the right side of my chest is experiencing some pulsing pain. It seems to be under the left side of my right breast. I'm not really sure how to describe it but it's a dull pain, almost like a headache type of pain, not a stabbing pain.

Could you advise on what that could be?

Thank you very much.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

The pain you are experiencing is more likely to be related to GERD ( acid reflux disease ) or to gallbladder issues.

However all the above mentioned examinations should be done in order to find out what is causing your symptoms.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
