Question : Symptoms:
- temp 100.6
- chronic cough (every 5 minutes making it difficult to sleep)
- cough is productive, meaning i cough up light colored phlem
- no energy
- stuffy nose
- felt this way for 2 days
- been taking tussin ... intially CF and now DM

Question:
- what OTC meds can I take if I have mild hypertension. I take 10 mg of Amlodipine (sp?)
- I also use Latanoprost eye drops for moderate glucoma

You are mostly having viral URTI.

I can understand your situation and problem.
Possibility of viral Upper respiratory tract infection is more in your case.
So better to start following steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
2. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
3. Start antihistamine and anti inflammatory drugs.
4. Avoid oily and spicy food.
5. Avoid junk food.
6. Avoid hard to chew food.
You will mostly improve in 1 week time. But if you are not improving than consult doctor and get done chest x ray to rule out lung infection.
And antihistamines and anti inflammatory drugs are easily available over the counter.
You can take them with your hypertension and glaucoma medicines.
