Brief Answer:
Bronchus and lymph node enlargement.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Hila consists of large blood vessels like pulmonary arteries and the bronchus and the lymphnodes.
2. When it is enlarged, it is called as prominent hila.
3. Normally during infection, blood vessels become prominent and also lymph nodes will be enlarged. As he had acute bronchitis, mild bronchial enlargement could have led to prominent hilus.

This is normal during infection.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
