Question : Hi,
I have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. I am aware there is some controversy about PSA testing. Is there also disagreement about biopsy results? I have a XXXXXXX score of 7 (4 plus 3). The 4 apparently represents a moderately aggressive cancer. This was found in only 1 out of 18 biopsy samples taken.
Is the analysis of biopsies and the XXXXXXX score fairly reliable and valid or is it the subject of disagreement as in PSA?
My urologist recommends surgery and as this is based on the XXXXXXX score

Hello

You are rightly suggested by urologists for surgery. XXXXXXX grading system is based on the glandular pattern of the tumor XXXXXXX grade takes into account the ability of the tumor to form glands.Simultaneous adding two results increases its sensitivity. XXXXXXX score 4 & 5 are considered to be high grade.
This grading system is highly reliable and it is widely used as prognostic indicator. XXXXXXX 4 grade has increased risk for both advanced pathological grade as well as tumor recurrence.
