Question : I have confirmed proteus mirabilis infection 10,000 UFC´s /ml. I will have another urine test next week and a blood test, but meanwhile I have no medication. What can I take ... I do not have pain anywhere other than a dull ache in the lower right shoulder, and after eating pain across the abdomen, which started with acute pain as if a belt was getting tighter and tighter. Urine is clear most times, but sometimes there is a smell and great cloudiness.

Brief Answer:
Wait for antibiotics till next test

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Wait for a week to get antibiotic prescription. Till then pass urine frequently so that more organisms do not multiply. You can have Cranberry juice extract. I do not know if you are sexually active, if so avoid intercourse. Dryness of the urinary passages will cause more organisms to grow. Odor and cloudiness indicate bacterial growth.
