Brief Answer:
Apply moisturisers, oil and start oral therapy

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
You can continue propysalic nf 6 ointment. Along with this apply plenty of moisturisers frequently and liberally. This will decrease the itching, dryness and scaling. You can use white soft paraffin and liquid paraffin combination as a moisturising cream twice or thrice in a day.
Also go for regular oiling of the body. Don't use harsh soaps for bathing.
Along with this in such cases I also recommend my patients to take oral therapy if topical therapy alone is ineffective. I usually start with capsule isotretinoin 20 mg once daily. Before starting the capsule get your lipid profile and liver function tests done. If these are normal you can start with the capsule after consultation with your doctor. The effect of the capsule usually starts in 6-8 weeks.
I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.

Dr Asmeet
