Suggest Treatment For Pulmonary Lung Fibrosis

Question: My husband has pulmonary lung fibrosis and he want to know if a nebuliser or just an ordinary oxygen mask would be better for breathing in the oxygen. Also if oxygen would be beneficial to help his breathing. He also has severe rheumatoid arthritis.

Treatment of lung fibrosis mainly depends on clinical feature and some rest like PFT and CT scan report of chest. Thus if you can upload his reports, I will be better able to help. Tight control of rheumatoid arthritis is also important. Oxygen is prescribed, if still shortness of breath is present. There is partial role of nebulization. Hope this will help Regards Dr Alok
