Peripheral vascular disease present.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The color doppler scan shows peripheral arterial disease. This happens due to long standing diabetes. The arterial wall gradually thickens and the blood flow to the limbs decreases. This is a progressively increasing problem. This causes ulcer formation and delayed wound healing in the feet. There can be a nerve damage, chronic pain and numbness in the feet also.
Your uncle is getting the right treatment. Regular dressing and oral antibiotics will help in wound healing.
I hope this answers your query.
