Question : Iam 5'4" and 184 lbs, years ago i was diagnosed with spondeolosthesis and a leaky disc. about 3 weeks ago I could not move my neck because it was so stiff. I went to my doctor, had an MRI and he told me it was a pinched nerve. at that point I had some radiating pain in my back and both my arms on top and the back of my hands got a little numb. Today I feel like the top of my forearms hurt to the touch and my calves on the inside alwasy feel like they are about to cramp but they dont. some days are better than others. at night my sides on top of my ribs kind of flutterand on top of the ribs im tender to the touch. could all this be related to my back? or does it sound like something else?
Brief Answer:
Yes related, pinched nerve because of IVD degeneration
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You seem to have too quick and sooner age related degeneration in the verterbral column. Because of these changes in the vertebrae the back nerves are pressured and pinched. All the symptoms narrated are related to spinal column at various levels. I suggest you to see a spine surgeon for better evaluation
Most likely you need better pain management, some postural changes, physiotherapy or rehab. Your surgeon can help you address these and refer to rehab experts. Yes weight loss can include more walking than anything else.
Hope this answers your query.
