Suggest Treatment For Rash On The Thighs

default
Posted on Mon, 27 Jul 2015
Question: I have been getting what appears to be a heat rash in between my things. I workout everyday and work a lot in an environment which requires running around and wearing skirts. I have been tested for everything. Stds, other things. What can I do for it? What is it? It feels prickly and comes and goes when I apply tea tree oil. I have also recently been diagnosed with bppv, vertigo...is there a connection?

Brief Answer:
No connection between BPPV and the rash. Start treatment as advised.

Detailed Answer:
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

It is known as jock itch caused by a fungal infection and affects the athletes and workers who have to work in a hot humid environment like hotel chefs, drivers etc etc just to list some facts.

Now coming to treatment:
Apply Hydrocortisone topical cream, Plus Clotrimazole topical cream, both to apply on the skin areas affected 4 times a day. Tablet claritin for reducing the itch, and Ibuprofen for pain and redness due to inflammation.

Keep the area dry and stop going to work out for the days you get better. usually it will take a few days to a week. Wear all-cotton underwears only.

Have a wonderful time ahead. Hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have any further clinical concerns. I will be happy to get back to you shortly. If satisfied here, please give a five star rating and don't forget to close the discussion.

Regards!
