Suggest Treatment For Rashes Between The Leg And The Groin

Question: I had a horrible swimsuit rash 3-4 months ago from the liner in the swimsuit rubbing inside the crease between my leg and my groin. It was so bad it bled and had never completely healed. I initially used anti-biotic ointment which healed the open wound but not the irritation. Since then I have used everything, from fungal powder to zinc creams (baby diaper creams) to pure Aloe. It will get almost well then get irritated again and crack back open. Tiny tears become visible in the crease when it gets bad. I think if I went naked for a week or so, that would probably allow it to heal but between activity, my underwear rubbing it, and it being a moist place on the body... it never has a chance to heal. It burns when I sweat or when it is rubbed. Any ideas???

Hi,
After reading history and seeing the photo,I could conclude that most probably you may be having candidal intertrigo. Kindly consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.
I would suggest...
- blood test for the blood sugar to detect whether you have diabetes or not
- antihistaminics
- antifungal like itroconazole 200 mg daily for two weeks
- antifungal and antibiotic cream to apply
- Sitz bath in dettol mixed water ..avoid soap bath
- keep the area dry
