Brief Answer:
A contact dermatitis with probable fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM,

I saw your picture and read your question.

The rash you have seems like a reaction of the skin, caused by an irritant (metal, cloth, friction, or sometimes the cause is not always identified). Since it is an old one, a fungal infection tents to go over it.

So, if I was your caring doctor, I would recommend to use a steroid cream, combined with an antifungal cream, for 7-10 days, twice/day. Sometimes you may find them over the counter in the local pharmacy, or if not you will need to see a dermatologist to prescribe that for you.

Alcohol makes it worse because it dries the skin, so I would say to not use it.

Hope this is helpful.

Take care.
