Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Chest When Diagnosed With Shingles

Question: I was diagnosed with shingles. I have a wide spread rash they consists of red raised fluid filled pustules with white heads at the end. I is confined to the chest on the left side around the neck area and on the shoulder area. I noticed it on Sunday, 10/23/16 - Rash came out on Monday the 24th which I went to Med Express. and was given valvacylvovir. What ointments or lotions may I used and can I take a shower? Please assist. Thank you. I did make an appointment with my physician next week. Also submitted photos through telemedicine to a dermatologist. Thank you.
