Question : My 4 month old baby just found his voice. He screams at everything, when happy, sad, bored even while playing. Now today when he starts to cry his voice is a bit raspy. Is this something to worry about?
Brief Answer:
do not worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for your query.
I am not concerned with the current change. But if the rusky voice persists for more than 48 hours, then it is advisable to consult doctor and get baby clinically examined. The voice change my be due to her screaming efforts or viral upper respiratory tract infection. We can sort it out, if symptoms persist.
Emperically you can give saline nebulisation every 6 th hourly if you feel its very prominent.
Hope my answers have helped you.thanks.
